Youth Awards Presentation Evening 2015
Bishop Auckland Town Council held its 1st individual Youth Awards Ceremony at Bishop Auckland Town Hall on Wednesday 3rd June 2015.
With 30 nominations from schools, groups and parents in Bishop Auckland there were 120 guests in attendance. All of the nominees received a certificate from the Mayor, Councillor Lee Brownson and Special Awards were handed out to 8 outstanding nominees:
- Supporting the Community; Alex Tighe
- Young Volunteer; John Hook from Stockton and Darlington Railway Youth Team
- Personal Achievement; Reece Robson from Cultivate 4 Life
- Young Carer; Bethany Smithfield-Davison
- Outstanding Achievement; Steven Taylor from St John’s School and Sixth Form
- The Arts; Blaine Richardson from Richardson’s Dance Studio
- Sports Achievement; Ellie Barker and Connor Keeble both from Bishop Barrington.
The Mayor, Councillor Brownson said: “As a Council we wanted to celebrate the fantastic young people we have here in Bishop Auckland. The quality of the nominations exceeded all expectations and we are really proud of the amazing young sports people, volunteers, carers, dancers and school achievers here in our Town”
