Bishop Auckland Town Council in partnership with the Royal British Legion is organising a Remembrance Sunday Service and Parade on Sunday 12th November.
The actual Parade which is being organised by the Royal British Legion will assemble outside the Newgate Centre at 10.30am before marching to the War Memorial in the Market Place for the Act of Remembrance at 10:45am.
A spokesperson for the Royal British Legion said:
“This is the first year a parade will march into the market place from Newgate Street and it will be led by pipes and drums. We would welcome any veterans who would like to march in behind the parade to meet at the Newgate Centre for 10.30am.”
Wreaths will be laid by members of various organisations, after which a Service of Remembrance will be held in St. Anne’s Church, in the Market Place at around 11:15am.
