Mayor presents festive donation to support Christmas lunch project
It’s the Season of Goodwill to all as the Mayor of Bishop Auckland, David Fleming and Councillor David Wilson deliver a festive donation of £300 to Father Dennis Tindall on the 19th December 2018.
The Bishop Auckland Fellowship of Christian Churches will host a special Christmas lunch at noon on Christmas Day, at Bishop Auckland Methodist Church in Cockton Hill Road.
Anyone is welcome, whether they are part of a Church in the town or not, but you must book a place if you wish to attend.
Mayor Fleming said: “It is a special time of year to be enjoyed with friends and family. If you haven’t got plans for Christmas Day, be sure to book a place and come along. Nobody should go without a Christmas lunch or feel alone this Christmas!”
“I’d like to show my sincere gratitude to all who volunteer their time and make it all happen on the day” he added.
