The Mayor of Bishop Auckland, Councillor David Fleming is holding two more charity fundraising events in 2019 for his chosen charity in aid of Woodhouse Community Foodbank and Crisis Centre.
The first event is his Charity Ball which will take place at Bishop Auckland Town Hall on Friday 22nd January 2019 starting at 7pm. Tickets cost £35 and will include pre-dinner drinks reception, a three course meal, tea / coffee followed by a raffle and entertainment by The Smokin’ Spitfires.
An Irish Night is arranged for Saturday 16th March 2018 at the Park Head Country Hotel with entertainment by fantastic local band Share the Darkness.
David said: “I have hosted three Mayoral events so far including Meet the Mayor, Mining Art Gallery with Afternoon Tea and a Christmas Quiz which was kindly match funded by Barclays Bank. The amount raised so far is £2,500.
I hope to raise as much money as I can for this fantastic charity.
It’s a charity that is vital to the welfare of many local people who are in desperate need, and is a cause which is close to my heart as my wife is one of the many fantastic volunteers who gives their time freely to help others at the Centre.
