Bishop Auckland Town Council is funding, producing and supporting a number Jubilee celebration events in Bishop Auckland with an incredible programme taking place over the national holiday period.
The Town Council have commissioned delivery partners Bridge Creative and Baccanalia to produce various events over a long weekend of joy and festivity. Stay tuned for more announcements.
Thursday 2nd June
The Platinum Party, Market Place
Presented by Bishop Auckland Town Council.
An evening of staged entertainment including pipers, buglers, choirs, community performances, roaming entertainment, Full Moon Market and the Lighting of the Beacon. – Full details coming soon!
Friday 3rd June
The Platinum Car Show, Market Place
Presented by Bishop Auckland Town Council and The Northern Bygones Society.
Spend some time with the vehicles of eras past as they shine proudly on the Market Place plaza. Northern Bygones classic and vintage car show. – Full details coming soon!
Saturday 4th June
The Platinum Picnic, Auckland Castle – Sold Out!
Presented by Bishop Auckland Town Council and kindly supported by The Auckland Project.
Auckland Castle will be opening up its beautiful grounds to help us host this memorable event for all the family. A day of traditional games, entertainment and jubilee activities.
Fair Rides and Attractions, Market Place
An open funfair of traditional rides including teacups, shuggy boats and more. – Full details coming soon!
Community Groups can apply to perform at our events via our JotForm application.
