Community Fund

Bishop Auckland Town Council offers Community Fund grants to support local organisations working for the benefit of the residents of Bishop Auckland. Community groups and local charities are invited to apply for grants of up to £1,000.

Grants are limited and are made available to local groups and organisations that can demonstrate a need for assistance that would benefit the Bishop Auckland area and its Residents.
A grant cannot be awarded to individuals, commercial businesses, political organisations or for the promotion of religious activities.

Submitting and application does not guarantee that a grant can be awarded, as each project is considered by Committee and is based on its own merits.

On the right hand side of the Application Form, there are some useful tips and guidance to complete each section.

The Community fund is not able to assist with ongoing operational costs, such as salaries or utility bills.

Section 5 of the Application Form requires supporting documentation to be provided by the group/organisation.
This is to demonstrate that the group/organisation is able to meet the funding criteria set by the Council and is eligible to receive a potential grant.
