
Bishop Auckland Town Council is pleased to announce the Brick Fairytales, Enchanted Bishop Auckland Competition which will open on Monday 17th August 2026, until Sunday 30th August 2026.
Step into a world of Fairytales and discover enchanting brick-built displays hidden throughout the town.
The winner of this competition will receive a £250 Gift Voucher. 🥇
Additional prizes include a £150 Gift Voucher 🥈and a £100 Gift voucher. 🥉
Collect your free trail card from Bishop Auckland Town Hall or The Artists Hub.
Explore the trail by visit participating local businesses and solve the clues along the way.
Complete the trail and submit your answer on the entry form for your chance one of these fantastic prizes. 🏆
Completed Trail Cards received with the correct answer will be entered into the prize draw.
Three winners will be selected at random from the pool of correct answer entries received.
All completed entries must be received by 11:59pm on Sunday 30th August 2026.
Entries received after the closure of the competition will not be considered.
Entries received with a partial, incomplete or and incorrect answer will not be entered.

Brick Fairytales Competition – Terms and Conditions
- Promoter
The competition is organised and promoted by Bishop Auckland Town Council (“the Promoter”).
- Eligibility
- The competition is open to residents of the UK.
- Participants under the age of 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian to enter.
- Employees of the Promoter and their immediate family members may not enter the competition.
- Competition Period
- The competition opens on Monday 17th August 2026.
- All entries must be received by 11:59pm on 30 August 2026.
- Entries received after the closing date will not be considered.
- How to Enter
- Participants must complete the Brick Trail entry form and submit their answers by the closing date.
- Only one entry per person is permitted.
- No purchase is necessary to enter.
- Correct Answers Required
- To be eligible for the prize draw, entrants must submit the correct answer to the Brick Trail competition question.
- Entries containing incorrect answers will not be entered into the prize draw.
- Prize Draw
- All eligible entries with correct answers will be entered into a random prize draw.
- The winner will be selected at random after the competition closing date.
- The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Winner Notification
- The winner will be contacted using the details provided on their entry form.
- If the winner cannot be contacted, does not respond, or fails to claim their prize within 7 days of the initial contact attempt, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize and select an alternative winner from the remaining eligible entries.
- Prize
- The prize is as advertised and is non-transferable.
- No cash alternative will be offered.
- The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with another of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond its control make this necessary.
- Photography and Publicity
- By entering the competition, entrants agree that if they are selected as the winner, the Promoter may take and use photographs of them for publicity, marketing, promotional materials, social media, websites, newsletters and other Council communications.
- For winners under the age of 18, consent from a parent or guardian will be required before any photographs are used.
- Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.
- Data Protection
- Personal data supplied during the course of this competition will only be processed for the administration of the competition and prize fulfilment unless otherwise stated.
- Information will be processed in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Council’s Privacy Notice.
- Liability
- The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected or incomplete due to technical or other reasons beyond its reasonable control.
- The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of any entrant and to disqualify any entry found to be in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
- Cancellation and Changes
- The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, amend, suspend or withdraw the competition where necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
- Acceptance of Terms
- Entry into the competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
- Governing Law
- These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
