The latest round of scams has hit Bishop Auckland today, with small battery operated card readers appearing on car park payment machines and tariff boards.

All of the devices that were found have been removed from the affected car parks in Castle Chare, Victoria Avenue and Kingsway, however there may be more in the area or could potentially reappear in the future.
Visitors are encouraged to be vigilant whilst paying for parking.
