It is with heavy hearts that we announce Bishop Auckland’s Christmas Town will be closed Friday 6th, Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th December 2024 due to Storm Darragh and expected winds of 60mph+.
Bishop Auckland Town Council as a principle partner of the event fully supports the decision made by the event hosts.
Your safety is our top priority and while this decision is devastating after a year of planning, we feel it is the right one.
Those who have booked tickets booked for today (Friday 6th) and the weekend have been contacted by email.
Bishop Auckland’s Christmas Town is a non-profit event created by Baccanalia For Culture CIC and Bridge Creative CIC for our community and local businesses. Sadly, the best way we can serve you now is to prioritise your safety.
