Bishop Auckland Town Council is proud to support the return of Bishop Auckland’s Christmas Town from Thursday 3rd to Sunday 6th December 2026.
There’s something special about seeing Bishop Auckland Market Place filled with Christmas lights, families spending time together and friends catching up over something warm. This December, Christmas Town brings four days of festive experiences to the heart of our town.
✨ A Christmas welcome for everyone ✨
Entry is free, so visitors can browse the Christmas market, enjoy roaming entertainment and festive installations, and soak up the atmosphere. Make time for a wander through town and a visit to our local shops and businesses while you’re here.
🎡 Unlimited attractions from £5 🎠
For those looking for more festive fun, a Golden Pass includes unlimited use of the Ferris Wheel, Twister, Helter Skelter, Fun House, curling lane and mystery attraction during opening hours on your chosen day.
It also includes entry to the Giant Tipis, subject to capacity, and 10% off drinks at every Christmas Town bar. Whether you’re planning a family outing or meeting friends for music and a festive drink, there’s plenty to look forward to.
Golden Passes cost £5 on Thursday, £7.50 on Friday and £10 on Saturday or Sunday.
🎅 A little Christmas magic 🎅
A visit to Santa’s Grotto can be added for £5 per child, with accompanying adult Grotto Passes priced at £2. Everyone entering needs a Golden Pass and the appropriate Grotto Pass, except children aged two and under accompanying their family without receiving a gift.
