Please be aware that Citizens Advice County Durham is an external organisation and a representative from the service attends the Town Council venue on a specified day, on an appointment only basis.
The Bishop Auckland Town Council venue is not a drop-in centre location and is not a correspondence address for post, letters or documentation for Citizens Advice County Durham.
The Town Council is not the Citizens Advice service and is unable to view, book, or manage any appointment held at our venue and it cannot transfer any telephone call on our landline to any external organisation.
Bishop Auckland Town Council is just a location that you will meet a representative of Citizens Advice County Durham locally, at a pre-booked appointment they have confirmed with their client directly.
If you arrive at the Town Council office without an appointment, you will be signposted to the General Adviceline to speak with a representative and offered one of the flyers below (subject to availability).
The Town Council is unable to make you an appointment at our venue on your behalf. Citizens Advice County Durham requires your personal information and may need to ask you for sensitive information regarding your personal circumstances, in order to provide you with the appropriate advice, or pre-book you an appointment if necessary.
For urgent advice from Citizens Advice County Durham or to request an appointment with a representative, please call the General Adviceline on 0808 278 7821 during opening hours. Monday to Friday, 10am until 4pm (Closed on public holidays).
Clients are advised that the General Adviceline can get very busy and there could be a wait; if you are unable to get through, you are advised to try again after a few moments.
