Bishop Auckland’s Annual Horticulture and Produce Show never fails to deliver a wonderful display of locally grown flowers, produce, arts and crafts.
The Show will take place in Bishop Auckland Town Hall on Saturday 29th September 2018, alongside the Bishop Celebrates Together offerings in the Market Place.
Organised by the Town Council with the help of local growers and in partnership with The Auckland Project and St Anne’s Church, the Show offers over 40 classes for adults and children to get involved in.
These range from classes for leeks, onions, chrysanthemum and dahlias for serious competition growers to cress heads, painted pebbles, WW1 remembrance poems and poppy pictures for the younger exhibitors. There is also a home produce category featuring jams, scones, pies, corsages, flower arrangements – and a favourite of the judges, chocolate cake!
