This is an exciting time for Bishop Auckland, which is on the verge of a new chapter in its illustrious history. The town is benefiting from a private sector led multi-million pound regeneration programme which will see the opening of a number of major new attractions that will have a positive effect on the town centre. It is also an exciting time of growth for the Town Council which was established in 2007. We are due to move into new premises which will provide sufficient office space to be able to recruit an additional member of staff to help the Council move forward and achieve its aspirations.
We are looking for an experienced Events and Projects Officer to join our small team to deliver the Council’s events programme, including the Mayor’s fundraising events, and to help achieve progress on the Council’s Forward Plan. A key element of the role will be to work effectively with partner organisations and community groups.
The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly including working some evenings and occasionally on a weekend. This will be managed via ‘Time off in Lieu’.
