There was nothing fishy about the Mayor’s fundraising Bus Trip on Friday 1st September when sixty four guests enjoyed a trip on a vintage bus, then enjoyed a fish and chip supper at Surfside Fish & Chip Restaurant in Seaton Carew!

Guests including fellow Mayors, Councillors, members of the 4 Clocks Memory Club and lots of friends also enjoyed playing bingo and a raffle which raised a fantastic £469 for the Mayors chosen charity The Great North Air Ambulance.

Councillor Adam Zair, the Mayor of Bishop Auckland said:
“The emphasis of the bus trip was for everyone to have a fun and enjoyable evening and there was certainly lots of laughter!”  “I must say a huge thank you to Graeme Scarlett from the Eden Company who kindly drove us all there and back safely, and to Mrs Pauline Roe from the 4 Clocks Memory Club for organising the bingo.”

Councillor Zair added:
“Thanks to the generosity of the guests we raised an amazing £469 for the Great North Air Ambulance, and as Bishop Auckland Town Council is a Dementia Friendly Council it was fitting that we were able to donate a further £40 to the 4 Clocks Memory Club.”

The 4 Clocks Club memory club meet fortnightly on a Tuesday from 1.30-3.30pm in the Four Clocks Centre.  The next club will be held on Tuesday 26th September.
