Supported by the Town Council staff, I have held a number of events to raise money of which the Weardale Railway was very memorable and thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended. I am delighted at raising such a large amount and that it is going to both a local charity, The Angel Trust, who do some great work in Bishop Auckland and a national charity the Alzheimer’s Society who offer dedicated support for those need it as well as vital research.
